Rachel Moravec is currently an Instructional Technology Resource Teacher for Fluvanna County Public Schools in Virginia. She is currently in her second year as an ITRT for the district. Previously she was a Technology Integration Specialist (2 years), a 4th grade teacher at John J. Cornwell Elementary (3 years), and a 5th grade teacher at August Elementary (2 years) for Hampshire County Schools in West Virginia.
Currently, she is a Google Certified Educator, holding both Level 1 and Level 2 certifications. Her next goal is Trainer, which she plans to work on over the course of the next year.
She prides herself on being a connected educator, utilizing both Twitter and Facebook as her main tools for collaborating. Give her a follow: @tisinaction. She uses these tools to collect resources and new ideas, as well as share her own.
She is also passionate about getting her school district involved in social media, and is leading the charge to share every school’s stories using the hashtag #flucostories. She feels that it’s important for schools to brand themselves and get share their stories with their communities.
